Fauntleroy Creek is well-suited to coho reared by Salmon in the Schools students. Restoration allows coho to spawn as far upstream as 45th Ave. SW. We reserve the channel between there and the beach for our "home hatch" and release all Salmon in the Schools fish in Fauntleroy Park. Releases are during the month of May, after fry are mature enough and heavy spring rains are over, giving them the best chance of surviving.
